My wife and I did the Paris to Prague river cruise about 8 years ago and really enjoyed all the tours of the museums and history. Wonderful castle tours and guides that knew all the history, so it was past time to do another cruise.

We decided we really wanted to visit Budapest and decided upon the Romantic Danube river cruise. This was very different from 8 years ago, by signing up for excursions ahead of time, with addition (for pay) excursions along the trip.

We had plenty of walking excursions, starting in Regensburg and Passau, then visited the Gottweig Abbey in Krems, Austria. The Panoramic Vienna excursion was nice and Vienna was very interesting. We did the Lipizzan Horses excursion, which was just seeing them in their stables, so a little disappointing, but we learned about the riders and about the horses. On to Budapest, with wonderful tour guides, so much to see, and we had extended our stay there and got to see the highlights of Budapest and their incredible Parliament building. We saw several churches along our trip as well, which were just magnificent.

Veranda Superior

Our Veranda Stateroom was very nice and the bed comfortable. Enough room to be comfortable and everything efficient.
