Fred does not have big, all singing, all dancing ships but what he does have, is a service ethos that makes everything he does, all the more impressive.

We sailed Fred on the Borealis for two weeks and enjoyed every minute because the service onboard was fantastic. Everyone, from our cabin stewardess to the bar and waiting staff, were friendly, professional and I believe genuinely wanted to make our holiday special. These guys work hard and long hours, so they are a special group of people who can keep a genuine smile on their faces day in and day out.

The ship itself is well appointed with a strong Dutch colonial style about it. This isn't surprising as the Ship was a HAL ship in a previous life. All in all, the decor is lovely but I couldn't help but wonder if it clashed a little with Fred's attempt to inject British inspired decor in the bar areas.

Cabin Review

A lovely cabin with loads of space. A bit dated but not uncomfortable and was clean, which was the most important thing.
