I love river cruises and I especially liked the pre trip in Lake Como which was beautiful and relaxing and the post trip in Amsterdam that were offered. Overall the food and amenities were excellent, the crew polite and friendly. My problem is with the amount of tipping that was required and expected, it seemed excessive. My question is are you not playing your employees an appropriate amount for their services? Viking cruises are not inexpensive and it seems there should be sufficient monies available for them.

The rooms are nice but believe me, there is no extra space, minimum space is available to get in and around the bed. Bathroom and shower set up well especially given the limited space. I took advantage of the walking track on the sun deck, a great way to get exercise and take advantage of the view. Over all I would recommend the cruise .
