This was our 1st River cruise and it was everything we expected! It was the trip of a lifetime. We chose to let Viking book our air and we were pleased with how that was taken care of. We also opted for a pre cruise stay in Budapest which helped us adjust to the time zone and provided us an opportunity to explore on our own. Budapest was a lovely and easy to navigate city. The Viking staff at the hotel gave great recommendations for things to do and places to eat.

The ship (or longboat) was small but that was expected. We had everything we needed and the staff were top notch.

We enjoyed the dining experience. The food was very good and there was a nice variety of local recipes and more traditional menu selections. It was fun sitting with and meeting different people - even for the introvert in our marriage! Read more
