Why this cruise? Wanted to spend a few days visiting friends in Budapest before cruise and have heard rave reviews from others about Viking.

The overall efficiency coupled with the totally guest-oriented staff made it a super experience! Every stop was well planned. Choices of available excursions were exactly what we wanted. This cruise was at the tail end of the COVID era and we had to submit to daily testing. Again, even this unusual requirement for a cruise staff was superbly organized, discrete and fast.

Can't say enough about the incredible staff. They went out of their way to make sure all our needs were met -- and they did it with enthusiasm and a sincere desire to serve. We definitely did not feel like we were "just another guest on another cruise." In those few instances when things beyond their control went off the rails on excursions (buses running late, etc.), their ability to flex, pivot and seamlessly recover was truly admirable. Read more
