We had planned this cruise for 2 years, which had to be rescheduled due to Covid concerns. This was our second time on Norwegian and certainly our last. The fact that it was a 21 day cruise was definitely a factor in our disappointment since NCL had basically the same shows (actually two good ones, Kinky Boots and Choir of Men) that they ran in the first week, changed some of the cast, and then ran the same show again. We found the house bands to be dreadful and the usual game shows involving the passengers a poor way of putting forward cheap entertainment. The food in the dining rooms is average at best. We ate at 5 specialty restaurants and we both said we would not go back to any of them.
Probably the (second) most frustration on this ship is the internet. We had a 300 minute package with questionable service. NCL has one lady, part time, taking care of passengers with internet issues. The line was at least one hour to see her. The NCL shore excursions had no ratings by which we could judge what we were getting into. Some were just OK, some awful, none outstanding.
The biggest frustration, half way through the cruise we both came down with bronchitis. My wife went to the infirmary for three days with a bill of $8,500!! I will say that those folks were very professional and had her welfare in mind to get her up and running to enjoy the rest of the cruise, but $8,500 for something that she may very well have caught on the ship. I will not go on another ship where guests get to serve themselves at the buffets. You can sanitize your hands, and NCL is very good about encouraging that, then walk in the restaurant and cough in your hand, serve yourself a meal and the following person gets a $8,500 infirmary bill.
