Viking is a #1 company. This trip to Antarctica was one of our all time favorites! There were so many things to do - zodiac landings, Special Operations Boats, SUBs, Kayaking, and even a surprise opportunity to snowshoe! My only complaint about the excursions is that they were not consistent with what we could do and when we could do it. For example, we really wanted to snowshoe, but we were told that if we did that then we could not do the zodiac landing. So, we eliminated the snowshoeing and were sorry we did. We were later told that we could have done both. The excursions were great and the staff worked very hard to give everyone the ability to try everything.

The scientists were amazing and gave wonderful presentations each night. They had lots of extra activities to attend and were visible and very available. They were fantastic at the landings, too.

Housekeeping and restaurant staff - phenomenal! We loved Manfredi's and The Restaurant. The World Cafe was perfect for breakfast and lunch. Mamsen's is a great place for a later breakfast and for lunch. The Hide is a nice quiet place to hang out - as are the bars and lounges. We loved the duet that sang and played (piano) a lot of wonderful tunes.

Nordic Junior Suite

The Nordic Jr. Suite was magnificent! Heated floors and towel racks in the bathroom with dual sinks and a huge glass-enclosed shower. Comfortable seating area with a couch and a chair. Vanity with another chair. A very comfortable king bed. TONS of storage/closet space. A closet with a heater - to dry those wet clothes. A safe. A mini-bar that was replenished daily. One of the best things - a floor to ceiling window where you pushed a button and the top came down so that you could look outside and take pictures. Perfect!
