Sail Date: Nov 2022

This was our 3rd cruise with MSC. In the past this was not a cruise line we would have sailed with but when cruising resumed in 2021 this line embarked passengers in Greenock so we took the opportunity to sail on Virtuosa. Truthfully, last year we were not impressed not the fault of MSC more the passenger demographic however it wasn't a typical cruise so we decided to give MSC another chance and cruised around the UAE in March of this year on Virtuosa and enjoyed it far better.

We decided to do a last minute cruise and booked for the Northern Pearls cruise leaving on the 4th November from Southampton, this was an 8 night cruise.

Our previous 2 MSC cruises were in a Fantastica Balcony cabin, this time we decided to book a Yacht Club Suite to see what the difference was. From the time we checked in a the YC tent about 10:15am the service was amazing, we were escorted past the queues to a seperate security area and taken to the YC area where we were warmly welcomed by Chris the YC director, our butler Glen also introduced himself and offered us champagne Unfortunately the MSC systems were being updated from GBP to Euros on board so there was a slight delay in embarking however it wasn't an issue as we were well looked after. Check-in is also done in this area for YC guests.

Cabin Review

Our suite was on deck 15, it was large and well appointed, a large comfortable bed and pillows, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, bathrobes and slippers, coffee machine and a kettle, there was also a mini bar.

The bathroom was a great size with a large walk-in shower and lovely towels, shower caps and individual toiletries were also included.
