As a three-star Mariner, I was really looking forward to my first post-Covid journey ... 20 days, from Vancouver BC through the Panama Canal to Fort Lauderdale ...but this is the lowest rating I have ever given a HAL cruise.
The Eurodam is a beautiful, subdued-toned traditional cruise ship, with comfortably furnished public areas and lounges : the garish neon reserved for the casino. There are hundreds of marine-related photos along all the corridors and some really interesting displays of sailing ship furnishings/models/relics to enjoy ..but, sadly, nothing under or beside any of them explaining what you are looking at. The ship is kept spotless and the crew is friendly and polite.
The Dining Room cuisine choices, quality and service is, as I've come to enjoy so much on HAL, still very, very good.
The cabin was terrific: very comfortable, lots of storage space and lighting choices. Nice large TV ... although the channel choices were dismal. In the bathroom, there is now no bar soap supplied ..unless requested (the standard hand soap offering now is in a liquid soap dispenser, shampoo-style ). Good sized balcony.
