I am a loyal Celebrity cruiser. Started sailing with Celebrity in the late 1990s, traveling with them to Hawaii in 2002, and Alaska 2005. My last criuse (before this one), was on the Celebrity Silhouette in Nov 2019, before the Covid pandemic, and that cruise was perfect. I just returned to cruising last week on the Celebrity Constellation, out of the Tampa port. Sadly to say, but this time Celebrity did not come even close to meeting my expectations .From the disorganized and chaotic embarkation, to the first night dining in the MDR, things went downhill fast. Until this cruise I can truly say that I had never had a bad experience with Celebrity. The attentive waiters and the impeccable service was gone! Communication was lacking, and the food presentation , food temperature, and slow service was prevalent. All though the food did improve over the week, the inefficient service was still present. I visited Customer Relations three times with my concerns, but was told that 200 new inexperienced staff had just joined this sailing. Unfortunately, it made my cruising experience less than I expected from Celebrity. The entertainment was also lacking, and after 2 try’s I just decided not to attend anymore performances. As I was a Concierge Class guest, and also a Captions Club member I was compensated with Specialty Dining in the Le Petit Chef restaurant, and this was a wonderful dining experience. Disembarkation was also chaotic and lacked communication.
Aft balcony 9164 just below the Oceanview Cafe and Bar. Nice balcony but was the noisiest room I’ve ever had. At 2 am every night the cleaning of floors and rearranging of furniture began, and it was very difficult to sleep. Had to wear earplugs, but even those did not work. I’d advise anyone who likes to sleep to avoid this cabin!
