Interested in the destinations and historical background of the region. The ports were interesting, and the guides were knowledgeable and fun. Our guides in the Shetland Islands and Quebec City were outstanding. Wished we could have spent some more time in Iceland, as a one-day stay was less than optimal. Because of weather (Farrow Islands) and a problem with distilling fresh water due to low ocean temperatures (near our second stop in Greenland) caused us to bypass two ports, the lectures, wildlife observations, and entertainment made up for these omissions. (We were also given monetary credit for these missed stops.) One unfortunate glitch was that in Newfoundland, the on-board description of the stop's walkability was not accurate, and only one of us took the included tour. Once ashore, a bus was available for those with limited walking endurance. The food was terrific and the service impeccable. Looking forward to our next Viking excursion.
