We were on the Legend for the October 23rd cruise to the Bahamas. We are by no means seasoned cruises. We are in our mid 50's and have cruised about 6 times overall. We traveled with my parents who are very seasoned cruisers and frequent cruises out of Baltimore due to the location of the port. Before I go into detail I will say we had a very nice time and did not have any major issues.
Pre-Cruise - We spent the night at the Best Western Plus in Baltimore. It was a decent hotel and we parked the car and had a shuttle to the pier. The hotel also has a shuttle to the harbor area where there is many restaurants and things to do. The price for the hotel and parking is very reasonable and worth doing.
Embarkation - we had a check in time for 12:30. We arrived around noon and breezed through and were on the ship by 12:30. My parents had access to their room so we dropped off the overnight bags and grabbed a drink and lunch at Guys Burgers.
Extended balcony on the 7th floor. Typical room. No complaints.
Easy port to embark.
I really like Grand Turk. Lots of shopping and pretty beach. If you have time walk to Jack's Shack. Really fun place to hang out.
We have been here a few times. Looks like they expanded the area where you get off the ship. We just shopped and stopped at Senor Frogs. Not much to do unless you have an excursion.
Loved our day here. Rent a cabana. We loved having our own space. We could cool off when we got too hot and we had our own designated loungers and rafts. It was also nice to have snacks and drinks included. Beach area was nice.
