The Greenland and Canadian cruise was a bit of a disaster what with fog in Greenland and Hurricane Fiona, we missed 4 of the best ports due to weather, the ship also was bit of a disaster everything was either too hot of too cold engineers did not appear to have clue how to control it. Ambassador cruise line is new very disorganised, I think a lot of the crew were new and the ship was new to them. WiFi expensive and extremely unreliable, Too many things wrong to mention. (we were on a previous cruise two weeks before and the same faults still existed}
The Ports of Reykjavik, St Johns, Montreal and Quebec were great but the organising of the berthing was a disaster, we were in different berths to that expected which meant a long walk plus extra time to get to town centre, no shuttle buses organized for Montreal the road leading from the terminal was being laid as we were meant to be getting off !!!!! 5 hr delay to get off with a 2 hr queue initially only one shuttle bus was eventually obtained, a change of plan meant we had 7 continuous days at sea ….. about 3 too many. Will never use Ambassador again.
Good points Buckingham Restaurant very good as was the entertainment the only good points I can think of.
Cabin rather dated, table all chipped looked awful, Toilet and sink needed engineering attention several times, Balcony very difficult to get two people on at the same time this was agravated by stupidy large and shaped table. The previous occupiers of this cabin who we met on a previous cruise had already complained but obviously nobody bothered to address the issues.
Great Port Berthed right in centre
