We travelled by car to Southampton arriving at the port at 12.15, embarkation was easy and we were in the buffet restaurant by 1pm. Cabins were ready by 2.30. We were very pleased with our balcony cabin on B deck, it had every thing we needed and our balcony was not overlooked. Our cabin steward, Alan was fantastic all week. We chose freedom dining to give us choice when planning our evenings. we dined in the Meridian restaurant and thought the quality of food and service was excellent. we also tried the Italian trattoria and the buffet restaurant both of which were good. We didn't feel the need to visit any of the surcharge restaurants.Drinks prices were very reasonable. We had the served breakfast in either the Peninsular or the Orient restaurant, amazing choice of food. We loved the art and photography around the boat and found the decor very pleasing although we would have liked a bigger atrium. It took a few days to find our way around. We thought that the entertainment was excellent on this ship, something for everyone. We tended to go to the Playhouse theatre for a show, then have dinner followed by more entertainment in either Manhattan or Malibar. We saw brilliant tribute acts, singers and comedians. The sail away parties were also very good fun. The planet bar was our favourite place to have a drink with wonderful views from the back of the ship. we did not find the ship crowded and thought the passengers were well dispersed throughout the ship. We enjoyed all ports of call. disembarkation was easy and we were soon on our way home, no stress! We thouroughly enjoyed our week on this ship and would not hesitate to go on her again.
