Although we have taken several ocean cruises,the Nile and the Mekong this was our first European river cruise. We need a pre Xmas break and saw the TUI Rhine gems cruise which took in several places we had not visited previous. TUI is a package so flights,transfers,£120 worth of excursions were included and it was all inclusive.

Transfer from Frankfurt airport to the Maya was fine,a bit delayed as one couple had a lost bag to report and several elderly ladies required wheelchairs to take them from the arrivals to the coach.

Embarkation was a breeze, names given, COVID documents shown,cabin key delivered. Luggage followed quickly. Afternoon tea was being served. Boat still had a group of passengers waiting to disembark so felt a bit busy. Read more
