We hold Elite status on Celebrity so we are not new to cruising. We spent a week in England and decided to take this ship, rather than fly, back to the US. We took this same cruise a few years ago on the Eclipse. Prior to boarding the ship we had read all the published info regarding covid requirements. Per the Celebrity web site AND calls to Celebrity said that self testing for covid was acceptable. When we arrived at the ship we were told that we would have to have a supervised covid test and it could be administered at the site(imagine that) for a cost of $100 each. Later, on board we found out that many people were not even asked about covid so it seems that it depended upon which person was doing the check in.

On a good note: The ship was very clean, cabins were nice and the crew very helpful.

Many items have changed from the "old" Celebrity that we knew.
