Port location, ease of embarkation and cost were the main reasons for choosing this ship. The itinerary was changed prior to embarkation - although disappointed, we proceeded with the cruise for the much needed family down time.
Embarkation was smooth. No hiccups. Because we were in suites, we were able to drop off our carryon bags in the room and leave (please leave the area as soon as possible as the crew are trying to ready the cabins for the next cruise).
Checked in at our muster station and proceeded to the Lido Deck for a casual lunch. Checked in the littles at Camp Ocean - met the camp staffers and checked out their offerings/times.
Cabins 2431 and 2433; DO NOT book these rooms if Galley noises bother you. We experienced banging, rolling, clanging at ALL hours of the day and night. This is a KNOWN issue with these cabins as they are located directly under the galley. Poor location design makes these OVERPRICED suites almost useless. Great location for our family. Directly/nearly directly across from the fabulous Family Harbor Lounge. On the newer ships this does not appear to be an issue. CCL compensated us for the disturbed sleep and inconvenience. Now we know. And i hope this helps you to make an informed decision.
