As we approached the pier near the Constellation a deckhand came running toward us to retrieve our luggage and escort us to our stateroom. That was only the beginning of the excellent service we received throughout the week of our Puget Sound, San Juan Island cruise. This was the fourth cruise I have been on with American Cruise Lines.Without a doubt, they have only gotten better and this cruise was the best.

This was the last cruise of the season for this ship so the Constellation was not full. For an end of season cruise,it was a pleasure to see how well everyone worked together and how happy the staff was. The hotel general manager, Rick made a point of getting to know everyone on the ship. He made a point of making everyone feel special.Andrew was the Cruise Director and he too,was our “voice from above”. He was always on call, always available and did his very best to make sure everyone was happy.Miranda was in charge of our tours and she did her best to make sure everyone was happy. She even smiled when it poured rain and people changed their minds. She has the patience of a saint. Our stateroom was always cleaned in a timely fashion. The service in the dining room was better than ever. The chef was better, too. The food was even presented so that it looked like it was handled with care. The happy hour cocktails were generous and the appetizers were always plentiful. Our port specialist Cindy was very knowledgeable about the area. The resident Artist onboard was a real art teacher and I looked forward to her classes. The art show during the last cocktail hour was amazing.

The tour excursions that we went on were all exceptional. Unfortunately,in Anacortes it rained and it was a bit cold.We still thoroughly enjoyed our first tour which was the jet boat nature ride and we still managed to see “wild things”. Friday Harbor was an outstanding port with so many beautiful sights to see. Olympic Game farm was so much fun.Don’t miss San Juan Island Adventure Tours. Even the time spent in Seattle was great!
