It was our first overseas holiday for over three years and there was more than a little trepidation as my wife and I waited for our flight to Lyon and the start of our "Spectacular South of France" river cruise.

Would Scenic's very high standards be maintained in the face of Covid and its associated problems? Would the Scenic crew still be of the very highest quality as they have, in the past, ensured that the passengers always come first and foremost? Would the Freechoice tours and Enrich evenings be as memorable and as well organised? Would the food and drink once again surpass expectations? Would? No it was time to stop asking questions and get ready for what would hopefully be another wonderful Scenic experience.

From the moment we were met at Lyon airport, transferred to the Scenic Sapphire, shown to our cabins and then sat down to our first superb dinner all those worries quickly disappeared. It was like we had never been away and we were confident that Scenic was once again going to live up to expectations. Read more
