Just off Splendor. Several observations.
All money transactions are in AUD.
The most desired shore excursions sold out before we got on. Very few available excursions by non carnival operators. The only docked port is Cairns. As a result the tender ops were time consuming. Carnival did not contract with local fast ferries for getting to shore, just leaving.

We walked on our own to Cruise Fleet Center and went to Fitzroy Island.
Moreton Island
Carnival has locked up all excursions. We thought we would tender over and find our own. Wrong. We took the glass bottom tour on shore and it was billed to our stateroom. Never seen that before.
Port Douglas, Australia
Slow tender. Ship excursion to Great Barrier Reef. One sales pitch after another. Not what was expected. Photos, helicopters, helmet dive, underwater scooter.
There was a snorkel pen that was crowded.
This was at Agincourt reef. 2 hour to and from ferry ride. Lunch was very good.
Willis Island
This was a “technical” stop to appease the duty free authority.
And by stop it was a drive by. What a waste.
