I've travelled a lot on the Norwegian Epic before and decided to try out this newer ship, which should have several improvements for the wellknown flaws the Epic has. And yes, this is in all means a better and nicer ship. I had a great vacation on the Escape and sometimes I ask myself if people who are extremely negative in reviews were on the same ship? Is it perfect? Of course not, but it's a great ship with wonderful crew. Here are some impressions:

Stateroom: I was in a solo cabin, perfect for solo travellers. It's small and has no balcony but for me it's perfect and has everything one needs. Also great cabin steward.

Public areas: nothing to complain, nice pool area and public entertainment venues. The waterfront is nice for having a drink or dinner outside, great improvement over the Epic. Atrium maybe a little small, but plenty of nice bars and venues to hang out at night.
