I have recently returned from a cruise on the ship Ambience with Ambassador Cruises. It was a no fly cruise from Tilbuy to Canada, Greenland and Iceland. From the start there were problems. We had to queue at Tilbury for nearly two hours without seats or facilities to get refreshments. Once on the ship and throughout the voyage the air conditioning was faulty and so we were either freezing or too hot. I had to report my cabin six times because it was very cold. Apparently this has been an ongoing problem since it was launched last April. In my view it was unacceptable to see people in bars and restaurants wearing overcoats. When we hit very rough seas the ship was unprepared and bottles were flying off shelves in the bars and plates were smashing constantly in the self service restaurant. As a result of this several people were badly injured. When we arrived in Montreal the ship had to change terminal at the last minute and people queued to get off the ship for 2-3 hours because there were no shuttle buses immediately. On the positive side the crew were friendly and the food and the entertainment was on the whole good. Ambiance is an old ship and should have been scrapped. I think it needs to be taken out of service and sorted out as it is unfair for people like myself to pay the full price and receive an unacceptable standard of holiday.

Cabin Review

The standard of my cabin was fine but the temperature wasn't!
