We picked this cruise to catch the Fall colors along the St. Lawrence and for first time visits to Canadian maritime provinces. Embarkation was fairly smooth as folks seemed to come to the terminal at their appointed times. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing lovely Quebec and the other Canadian ports of call. The ship's crew was outstanding, very hard-working and they aimed to please. The meals in the specialty restaurants (PInnacle Grill and Tamerind) were delicious and memorable. The Lido offered a wide variety of dishes and plentiful quantities. We enjoyed a few more formal dinners in the main dining room. We used the "Have it All" surf package which allowed simple tasks like retrieving e-mails while at sea. As we are not big drinkers, I would not opt to get this package in the future but rather just purchase items ala carte. Thoroughly enjoyed the Lincoln Center classical quartet of very talented musicians.
What has changed from a typical pre-covid cruise? There were a number of up-charges on the MDR menu for items like jumbo shrimp appetizer or adding a lobster tail which used to be included at no charge. All the crew wore their masks which we appreciated as we kept ours on as well.
6216 aft facing. We loved the views from our aft veranda stateroom. The cabin was immaculately clean when we arrived and our room attendants kept it in great shape through the voyage. The veranda provided a very private and sheltered location to view the scenery astern on both sides of the ship.
