This cruise was from Barcelona to Venice with many stops along the way. This was an amazing experience. I will share the pros and cons of my experiences.
Pros:
1. Small ship with many amenities (great Spa area at no extra cost, free laundry, very nice pools, drinks costs very reasonable.)
The cabin was very nice and large enough for 2 people. The balcony was a nice size also. The bathroom was larger than other ships I have been on. The cabin was serviced twice a day and the steward was very accommodating.
There is lots to see in Barcelona and fairly easy to get around.
I loved this bustling little village. I wish I could have spent more time there.
I did a food & wine tasting tour which took me to Ston. I loved this experience. It was the best excursion of the entire trip.
Florence was very crowded and we just walked by historical sites and did not go in any. The trip to Pisa was well worth it and a great experience. From were we docked, Florence was about 1-1.5 hours away. I did not care for Livorno. It was hard to get around and I got lost.
It was difficult to get to and from Venice from the ship. Prepare to do lots of walking. The tour basically showed you where the sites were but we did not go into any of them. Venice was crowded also. From were the ship is docked, you have to take a bus ride of about 45 minutes and then take a boat over to Venice.
Disappointing excursion. We did not see much that I recall.
I loved Split. This is where portions of Game of Thrones was filmed. I would have liked to have spent more time there. The tour was great.
I did not like Naples. It was dirty and seedy. I should have gone to Pompeii instead.
Rome was very crowded and difficult to get around. My main purpose of this excursion was to get into the Colosseum and that did not disappoint. The tour guide did an excellent job and it was amazing to see. The Trevi Fountain had no water because it was being cleaned. Disappointing. The ship docked about an 1-1.5 hours from Rome.
