When we booked this cruise, we knew the Infinity had not yet been refurbished. Although a bit dated, we found the ship to be in reasonably good condition. We spent most of our days on the pool decks, participated in trivia, went to the World Wine Tour event, etc. We were surprised with the number of pool servers available to take drink orders, unlike what was being reported on other ships. We listened to some great live music at various times of the day. The shows were excellent and guest entertainers for the most part were great. One of the comedians was a bit flat, so we left halfway through the show. Maybe we were just too tired. My only wish is there was more variety of activities on the ship.

We made friends with an awesome group of fellow cruisers and spent an hour or so with pre-dinner drinks in Cellar Masters each evening. We ate dinner via select dining in the MDR (Trellis) each night. The food was good, and we found no reason to eat at a specialty restaurant. Our first night dinner was at a 2 top. We chatted with people from neighboring tables and decided to meet for pre-dinner drinks the next night. We then became a table for 6 and eventually a table for 8. This was confusing for the reservation hostess, but each night they adjusted at our request, never having to wait more than a few minutes for a table. The dining staff were excellent and graciously accommodated quite a few special requests from us and our table mates.

We had previously visited 3/4 of the ports, but had never been to Bimini, so were prepared for a low-key cruise. We only booked one ship excursion (snorkeling in Belize) that ended up cancelled due rough waters. Although tenders were available to take passengers to shore, we decided to stay onboard. We've been to Key West many times, so returned to the ship after a walk around town. We had planned to go to an AI in Cozumel, but it was a cloudy with chance of rain day, so once again took a walk around town then returned to the ship. We hadn't planned anything for our last stop in Bimini since many of the reviews I read indicated there wasn't much to do there. The Captain's Club host provided us with the short list of things to do in Bimini and we decided to ride the free tram to Fisherman's Village with a plan to rent a golfcart. They wanted $90 to rent, so we instead took a cab to Radio Beach where we spent the day swimming and looking for shells. It was a wonderful choice that we'll repeat if we visit Bimini in the future.

Cabin Review

Family Ocean View with Balcony

We initially booked this cruise in a standard veranda cabin and were able to move to family veranda 7202 when this cabin became available 2 weeks prior to the cruise. Our cabin was very large, as it's typically reserved for families of 5. There was a typical bedroom setup, with a separate sitting area. The couches in the sitting area could fold out into beds when needed. The couches were outdated and in need of replacement, but everything else in our cabin was in good shape. The bathroom was typical sized. There were 2 double closets and draw space everywhere. The balcony was huge, as wide as the cabin and approximately 30 ft deep. We had a round table with 4 chairs, plus 2 recliners with foot stools. We were able to easily host a gathering of 8 for a BYO wine party. The only negative with the balcony was a large stain on the floor that really should have be taken care of with a fresh coat of paint. Our cabin attendant Aal was excellent. He was readily available every morning and evening, eager to help us out with whatever we needed.

Port Reviews

Bimini

See above. We enjoyed Bimini and thought it was a beautiful island. Just wish there were more options for things to do there.
