We enjoyed our first cruise since 2019 on the Sapphire Princess, the crew were exceptional, some being new to this industry. Love the fact that we had managers pitching in with service to ensure we had a pleasant experience.
Cabin steward Miguel was excellent for our area E723. Yes we had some cabin issues but him and his supervisor communicated with us and we didn't feel our issues were not being addressed. This went a long way with us, our balcony door was fixed within a few days but the AC was not, there appeared to be heat and AC issues throughout the ship. I put on a sweater or sweatshirt and was ok.
Main dining rooms were ok for dinner would have liked to see the old Princess detail to attractive plates but food was hot and served in a timely fashion. We have had better but also worse in our many cruises over the years. We did like seeing management pitching in to help with service, this was new to us. Seeing this teamwork was very nice. We enjoyed breakfast or lunch each day in the International dining room. Excellent service each and every time starting with our greeting at the door to our goodbye at end of our meal. Have to say also had my best lunch there the sea bass was perfection. We at in the buffet and was happy to have the sinks at the entrance and the individual servings for some items, the food was above prior buffet experiences. The Cafe and Alfredo pizza were nice but beer choices at the pizza parlor were limited. We did try the grill at the outdoor pool area they were fast and the fries were good.
Room steward was excellent. Cabin was cool entire trip but think heat and AC were ship wide issues. Communication with us on the issue was excellent as well.
