The service in the main dining room was great. This may have been partially due to sailing about half full and the third floor dining was not utilized. Service in the Lido was great too with the staff fully willing to bring additional items directly to your table. This was my first inside passage trip visiting Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan. The weather was great in May and I had excellent pictures of the glaciers. The Railway trip at Skagway was great too. I went up the aerial tram at Juneau and got some excellent photographs from the mountains. I took the duck ride in Ketchikan. The casino staff were friendly and I enjoyed meeting other guests there. The stateroom had an excellent balcony about midship on the fifth deck with unobstructed view. This was my first trip on the Koningsdam and I have booked another for November. The bathroom had a walk in shower which I prefer. The cabin attendants provided excellent service and maintained the room in good condition. The entertainment was a little too noisy for my taste but other passengers seemed to enjoy it.
The stateroom was well organized and the balcony was excellent. I liked the bathroom and the stateroom’s position on the ship. I did not experience any notable motion with the sea.
Excellent close cruising in Glacier Bay. Interesting dialogue by National Park ranger.
Great views from aerial tramway. Watch out for the jewelry stores on Main Street as they will come out and encourage you to come in.
The Klondike railway provided an interesting journey. You could only go to the Canadian border but it was a unique experience.
I went on the duck trip which is a vehicle which can go on the water as well as the road. It was quite good but not as exciting as anticipated.
