We feel this is a resort ship in every sense. As a very seasoned Celebrity cruiser I can say already I don't think it's going to be my thing, which is tragic as we are on the Edge for six weeks next year. Just why Celebrity have chosen to go in this direction I really don't know, why not leave it to It's sister brand Royal Caribbean?

We have a superbly positioned room just aft of mid-ship (11224 Infinite verandah), this is a very nice Concierge grade room but so many things have been cut (no fruit bowl, no slippers, no extras really), everything in the room has to be paid for including water ($6.50 Inc gratuity) even if you've purchased the enhanced beverage package at $15 pp per day + 20% gratuity (= $18) - yes it's now a 20% gratuity. Beware purchasing such a package in a Spanish port as you will be hit with a further tax on the whole package, but of course nobody tells you in advance. There's a big push to sell you the enhanced beverage package once onboard.

Just where we are going to hang our clothes next year I really don't know as the wardrobe space is the same as MSC Virtuosa - very small!
