We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Egypt with Viking. Our flight was delayed out of SFO and the Viking Air staff did a great job getting us rescheduled on a later flight out of Heathrow. From the pickup at the airport to our delivery back, we were well taken care of by our Viking reps. We felt safe the entire time. The Osiris is a beautiful boat and the staff is spectacular. They spent their time trying to anticipate our needs and they did! The chef was visible at every meal and stopped by to chat and explain the menu. I cannot say enough about our Egyptologist, Hany. His knowledge and enthusiasm about his home country was endless. He also has a great sense of humor, which we greatly appreciated. The tours were set up to get the most out of every destination. The Cairo museum is simply spectacular. I would like to return when they open the new, multi-billion dollar museum near the pyramids. We learned so much along the way. Cruising the Nile is a peaceful experience. We loved spending time on our balcony. Egypt is a beautiful, unique country and I can say, without hesitation, that going there with Viking was the right decision.
