We chose this cruise because we had not been to this part of Europe and because the shore excursions allowed us to learn so much about key cities and areas of this part of Europe. Our expectations were more than met! One of the best parts of the cruise were the truly exceptional quality of the shore tour guides and the fact that there was always someone from Viking there to ensure things went right. The service throughout our time with Viking to include pre and post tours was exceptional!! From the moment we walked off the plane until the time we went back through security at the airport, there was always a Viking person there to answer questions, intervene where necessary and ensure we were taken care of. More than anything else, this gave us a sense of security in a foreign country.

Once aboard the ship, the Plan of the Day was provided for us each night along with our excursion tickets so that it was almost impossible to inadvertently miss something. The way the cruise was conducted, you could spend as much time on excursions or free time as one would like. There was absolutely no effort to sell you anything (such as pictures, etc. on other cruises) and the focus was on ensuring you were enjoying yourself.

We will take another Viking cruise again for sure!!
