Our good friend, who happens to be a travel agent, recommended the AMA Waterways Danube cruise on the AMA Magna, the largest ship in the AMA fleet. The ship was magnificent but the real standout on this trip was the customer service by the AMA Waterways crew and staff.
AMA Waterways were with us from start to finish. From the moment we landed in Prague and picked up our luggage, we were met by an AMA representative who helped us get to the shuttle bus taking us to the hotel in Prague (our trip included 3 nights at a beautiful hotel in Prague and a guided tour of the city prior to the cruise) and told us what we could expect. When we finished the cruise and were taken by shuttle to the airport in Budapest, we were met at the airport by an AMA representative who helped us navigate the airport and ensure we were checked in and able to get the correct airport gate.
And the cruise itself was no different when it comes to customer service. Linda Ann has some significant dietary restrictions due to some prior surgery, and they accommodated every request we had, all with graciousness and kindness. Every member of the AMA Magna crew, from the cleaning staff to the hospitality staff to those responsible for sailing the ship, delivered exemplary customer service.
