This cruise was intended to be our 40 th anniversary but becasue of covid was delayed two years. as usual with viking we had no trouble getting off the plane and to the ship. our ship was docked about four blocks from the eiffel tower. we were able to walk there after dinner on the day we arrived. the tours on the ship were well paced without all of the early wake ups that can sometimes be a bother. Only day that was long was the trip to normandy but even then viking made it a special trip when we laid a wreath at the home of the unkonwn soldiers. Monet's garden was nice but rainy. all of the towns we toured with the guides and on our own were very interesting. additional trip to veresailles was very crowded as it was on a saturday and jam packed with tourists. Gardens were nice.

we said for an additonal three days in paris and we were not given any information about the surrounding area, which we discovered was nice but had some questionable areas as well. Hotel was in the montparnesse area. hotel was just refurbished but the bathtub was on a platform and was tricky to get into and out of since there were no handrails to hold onto. the pullman hotel had an amazing breakfast that was included.

food overall on the trip was great and we met a lot of nice people on board.

Cabin Review

cabins of course are tight but we managed. it was nice to have the veranda, although th e other rooms were just as cozy.
