Viking Saigon Review

The guides were fantastic and the ship had a "new ship smell."

We were planning on going to Russia this year but those plans blow up in Putian's face. We opted to got to Southeast Asia as Plan B. Having taken two other Viking cruises our expectorations where very high and the cruise met our expectation and then some.

Each hotel along the way (there were 3) were all great. The drivers in each city were great. All the meals served on the cruise and in each location were a taste of the local cuisine.

Best of all were the Viking Cruise Directors who were with us from day 1 to the transfer the airport in Saigon. Ours was named Ut and his mastered story telling and local customs making us all feel like locals. Several people on our cruise came down with stomach laments and Ut was like our Mothers in making sure that we were ready for the next day’s adventure.

Cabin Review

Large by Viking standards. Newly constructed and clean. No balconies but with the Mekong's weather that was never an issue.

Port Reviews

Hanoi

The craziest traffic I have even seen. Scooters going every direction, people texting while driving, and kids riding without helmets. If you cross the street you have to say a prayer and hope that God is on your side.
