We can’t say enough great things about Viking and this wonderful cruise. From the time we stepped off the plane and embarked the Skadi in Amsterdam to the time we disembarked in Budapest, everything was top notch. All the crew was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. All the tours were extremely informative and fun. I recommend the Cologne Beer Dinner and Culture extension. Great food paired with great beer and some history of both. Speaking of food, Chef Joey on board had fantastic meals. We had 28 different kinds of soup and they were all delicious! Every night there were regional specialties to savor. Our cruise director, Alec Finn, was knowledgeable, friendly, and very personable. Answered all our questions and gave some outstanding recommendations. Our only mistake was choosing a standard stateroom instead of a French balcony. It would have been nice to stay in the room and have a view instead of having to go to the lounge. All in all, this was a FANTASTIC cruise and we highly recommend it.
