We had heard wonderful things from friends about Viking cruises and after much deliberation, decided we would experience it first hand. We decided on an ocean cruise as this is what we have been used to doing on different cruise lines in the past. Could there possibly be that much of a difference? The answer is YES! From the moment we landed at the airport to the moment we were escorted back to the airport, we were treated like royalty! No request was denied and many needs were anticipated before we even had to ask! The ship is amazing and easy to navigate. The food exceeded our expectations. The dining room is big enough to accommodate the size of the ship and we never had to wait in line to be seated at a table. The food at the World Cafe was always plentiful and inviting and we were thrilled to enjoy sushi almost every night. The included shore excursions were a bonus and we were able to experience the grandeur of the many cities we visited. This may have been our first Viking cruise, but it certainly will not be our last!
