We were met at our taxi by Elizabeth, our program director with a big welcome and a porter to take our luggage. We were welcomed to sit in the lounge until lunch was served on the aquavit terrace. The food was beautifully displayed and delicious. Over the week we tried a little of all except the foods always available. Each evening, Elizabeth would give a talk on the next day's events. The chef would come out to describe the food on the menu. Our rooms were a nice size and the bathroom floor was heated. One thing we found about the staff was they all seemed to have multiple jobs. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. The people at reception were very kind, they would make change with our larger Euros so we could have tip money for our tour quides and marked special areas on our maps each day. We met the Captain the hotel manager, the chef, matre'd as well as Elizabeth. The chef we not only saw in our evening talk, but every night in the restaurant. He went to each table to assure that the food was being enjoyed. The others we seen multiple times around the ship and always with pleasant conversation.
