The ship was very clean and the staff were friendly. The food choice is good but in nearly every restaurant the food is cold or tepid. In the Versailles especially coffee was not hot enough and spoilt breakfast. We liked O’Sheehans and the service was very good, again coffee was not always hot. Overall the speciality restaurants were good although in Le Bistro the service was far too quick. La Cucina the chicken was not breast as informed and when both meals were returned mine had just been replated and was cold. Moderno was superb with a great choice of salads and a good choice of meats. Cagneys was good although my steak was too rare and had to be cooked some more, leaving the rest of our food sitting on the table. Overall the food service was good. As we were disappointed on a previous NCL cruise with the white wines and rose choices we brought a lot of our own wine on board. Gatsby's was our favourite bar and the staff behind the bar and the service staff worked exceptionally hard.

We had an ocean view room and were happy with that, this too was spotless. It is good that the bed is turned down and the room cleaned at night. Some other ships have cut this service out.

There was a lack of information about some of the ports of call as the port was some way away from the towns that were on the itinerary, eg Zeebrugge, Bilbao, Oporto, Le Verdon.

The cabin was absolutely fine. The stateroom steward couldn’t do enough to help and the room was spotless.
