Viking Sea Review

Great onboard experience, among top notch crew + food + entertainment. Disappointed to miss 4 ports due to safety issues.

We wanted an ocean cruise experience (first for both my husband and me), we were drawn to the sophistication and offerings (art, history, education) on Viking, and the ports of call on this Mediterranean Odyssey. The onboard experience was first class all the way, among ALL the crew, the food (especially at The World Cafe) and the entertainment. The included excursions, bus tours, at each port, varied in quality, with the first two not meeting the Viking standards but the last four really improved. However, overall, too much time on the bus and not enough time / very little time in town. Maybe we will try some extra excursions next trip. We understand the 4 of 10 ports missed or modified due to safety, but still a disappointment. However, Viking has been fair in its reimbursement and continues to maintain a high rating for us! We will be traveling with Viking again!!!
