We returned from this 14 night Canaries cruise on 1st October. It was truly awful.
We travelled to Southampton by coach with Intercruises. What a shambles. Coaches were pulling into Trowell services with no indication where they were going. We asked one coach driver if he knew when the coach for Ventura was expected to which he rudely replied that he wasn’t on duty. Eventually two arrived late, both for Ventura. We had already heard from the coach company there would be delays expected in Southampton as there was a boat fair on. We had a break on the way, the driver allowing a given time to be back on the coach. We had to wait for late comers – 15 minutes late who made no apologies when they came back. This made us even later because the coach was asked to pull in near the terminal and wait as they were busy. Then the coach got stuck over some ground turning into this lay-by and we all had to get out while it was moved! We eventually boarded at 4 30 when the ship was due to sail at 4pm. Never been so late boarding.
The embarkation checks were a joke as no one asked to see our vaccination certificates.
To add to the problems already outlined above with this suite - this was the worst suite we've had in layout and design - very small in comparison to others on say Iona, Britannia and Aurora. It has a terrible bathroom with no sink in it! The only sink is in the separate toilet area.
