We chose this cruise because we didn't have to travel far, and we had a voucher from Viking due to a cancelled river cruise. This was our first Viking Ocean cruise , and we were pleasantly surprised. The ship was sleek, modern and spotless, the service second to none, the food was outstanding, and the entertainment top notch. With around 900 people, we never had to wait for an elevator, there were no lines anywhere, so we never felt crowded in any space. An excursion was included in every port, and the local guides were very interesting and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the fall foliage and all ports of call, Quebec being a highlight. It was an older, more sedate crowd, which might not be for everybody. An added plus was a self serve laundromat on every deck, including detergent, and irons and ironing boards. This came in very handy on a two week cruise. We both agreed that Viking got it right, and it was smooth sailing all the way!
