This was our second cruise on Valiant Lady having been on the inaugural sailing 6 months earlier.
The location of the ship for boarding at the port at the bottom of Las Ramblas was great and much easier to access than the normal ship locations in Barcelona. We arrived a bit early having flown in that morning but were still able to hand in our luggage. We did have to wait for a while to board. However, boarding was quite smooth and it was only 30 minutes before we were on the ship.
Food; as other reviews have said this is a big plus for Virgin and we enjoyed all of the evening restaurants. Pink Agave was my particular favourite. The brunches in Razzle Dazzle were also great. Also try the tapas at the Dock House on deck 7. The Galley still does not really work for us as we like normal ship buffets. Service here was still a bit hit and miss due to the system rather than the crew.
We generally liked our balcony cabin on deck 14. Good points are the bed itself, restrained décor, the shower, lots of charging points and particularly the hammock on the balcony which is extremely comfortable. There are some negatives, namely the strange furniture (odd stool/table thing and base for the bed conversion into a sofa) and storage is still a bit wanting.
Overnight in Ibiza worked for all the sailors with the clubs/bars in the night for the younger at heart and the old town the next day for us non clubbers!
