I had to sleep a day before writing this as my blood was still boiling from the inhumane treatment received by MSC Cruise Line upon all its passengers.
As we arrived on October Thursday 13th at Terminal 10 at Port Canaveral at 1:30 pm we could never imagine we were going to be made wait outside standing in line for the next 5 and a half hours. The line was so long it wrapped around the terminal 3 times, three Times!!!. It seemed like everyone was told to come at the same time on board and there was absolutely no consideration made for the elderly food shade water communication, Nothing for all the people waiting to get on board. Only once I saw a crew member come out with a couple of packages of water that quickly decimated among the front of the line, no more for all the rest of the thousands waiting in line for hours. We waited standing moving at an excruciating slow speed as the incompetence of the port staff having no clue of how to operate their tablets, their hardware failures, their system failures, the only 3 metal detectors available made the whole experience excruciating. Not only after spending 4 hours outside to discover another 1.5 hours in lines inside as well. Both to pass security and again to check in. Better yet, even though we had completed our online check in, it was completely worthless as the whole documentation was checked and filled again with agents walking up and down to ask supervisors what to do, look for printed cards in boxes among hundreads of other cards. Once you were checked in after 5.5 HOURS standing absolutely no one wanted to have their picture taken. Everyone was mad but wanted to give the cruise a chance to redeem itself. The punch line is that until the third day we get a letter giving every cabin a $50 credit. What a slap in the face. MSC saying Here’s 50 bucks now shut it.
After spending hours in Lines to get on, you also had to do Lines for the buffet 15 min, lines to get to speak to some one for hotel services 30-45min which was always full of people complaining about the utter disregard for passengers. Lines for the payment terminals which where out of service. This company puts the Lines in Cruise Lines.
The Sheets were so old they had moth balls.
The bed is so worn it had waves and dents. The couches are stained only to be hidden by the horrible red wine color in all the room.
