I love Disney. Everything about Disney brings me back to my childhood and I go to Disneyland every year.

So I’d thought I would give their cruise a try. My family and I went on the Disney dream to the Bahamas and Castaway Cay in May 2022. We then tried the Ovations of the seas with Royal’s Ovation to Alaska in September 2022. We have ultimately decided to continue with Royal Caribbean. I really thought I’d be one of those ride or die DCL cruisers.

Although we loved the shows on DCL, in fact I even get teary eyed and nostalgic with the Disney shows, the food quality was horrendous: bass smelled fishy, the pasta cooked to the point of being gummy, and very salty seafood dishes. Even tried the turkey burger at Mater’s grill, took one bite and couldn’t eat anymore of it.
