We chose this cruise to experience a different area of Europe after taking a Viking Rhine cruise 3 years ago. The ship (Kadlin) and crew were excellent. Viking had a plan in place for low water levels, but we were lucky and were able to enjoy the entire cruise on the river as planned. Cruise director George does a fabulous job- and sings pretty well too. The dining staff and cabin attendants were great- from many countries and fun to talk with. Every meal offered delicious samplings of local cuisine as well as excellent wine and beer offerings. Learning about the history of Soviet occupation in Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic was enlightening. The available excursions allowed us to see more of the cities we visited as well as get out into the countries. We highly recommend Viking River cruises - and the Rhine and Danube experiences.
