Overall the cruise was fantastic. The crew members, most meals, amenities, cabin steward, cruise director Kate were all first class. The dinner at the Chef's Table was well below par for Viking. Would not recommend booking that for dinner.

We did a pre-cruise extension which was very good but the Nobu Hotel was poorly managed for check in and room maintenance. Pick up at Barcelona airport was also chaotic. Viking reps were difficult to find since most were not wearing the normal Viking red attire.

Most excursions were good but guides spent too much time talking and going over historical dates which cut down on personal time to explore. Travel time (1 1/2 hours one way) from Chiogga to Venice was excessive and never explained to us. Another big disappointment. Read more
