The ship and the crew of the Viking Atla are simply fabulous! Joey (program director) and the rest of the staff went out of their ways to be sure all of our needs and wishes were met. In the midst of a drought, we got to Regensberg along with 2 days of showers - and we rode that beautiful wave all the way to Budapest.

There were a few times when our docking plans were altered but Viking never let that deter us from going on our excursions; they simply brought busses to us and we were whisked off on our plans. This really was a blessing because we got to see parts of Bavarian and the Black Forest that we wouldn't have seen otherwise.

The menu selections were fine - nothing that made me want seconds, but nothing to complain about either. We purchased the Silver Spirits Package and enjoyed it tremendously, especially the German and Austrian beers on board. Read more
