This was our second Oceania. But we have done a few other cruises over the years. The newly refurbished Nautica was very beautiful. Couldn't get a suite so we were on 7th floor with Balcony. Small room- Impossibly small shower and we're small people. Rarely got hot water. But the room Steward was outstanding! The food in all the places- specialty as well as Main Diningroom just VERY average! Breakfast is particularly uninspiring. Lots of stuff but always the same- sausage, bacon- Worst was the loss of ports and excursions. Weather was fabulous the whole time so it was rather mystifying. Two boring days in Marseille- no Monte Carlo- no Cannes- no excursion to Provence. And NO people who knew what else to do. One port was moved to LaSpezia- We thought bus ride was 2.3 hrs to Cinque Terre so we didn't take it Then found out there was a Train just 20 minute ride there!! We did it but too late to do all the Towns. They said weather was the reason that ports were changed but I suspect, the price of landing in Port may have changed!! On the whole, it felt like most of the Staff were onboard for the first time and training!! We took this tour because of the stops and the advertising of "best food"- so really disappointed!! And it was lots of money- so also feel cheated. Each week since our last cruise with Oceania 4 yrs ago, we get at least 2-3 VERY expensive, waste of paper huge catalogues for cruises. Oceania needs to quit that practice and pay more attention to the actual cruise experience!
