We booked this trip far in advance. It was a 60th b'day celebration for both myself and my childhood friend. We traveled as two couples, ages ranged from 59 to 65. I've been on around 12 or more cruises on various lines over the years. This ship was nothing short of stunning. The furniture, decor and artwork! I'm amazed at any bad reviews I read. I have to wonder what they're used to if they found any fault with this one. At no point did we find it even remotely crowded. All the common areas are stunning, and we quickly fell into the groove of our favourite spots over the 12 days. We loved the martini bar and the constant vibe there with either live entertainment or a DJ. We spent a lot of time on the Magic Carpet, opting to get back on board at each stop about an hour or so earlier than needed, so no issue getting a spot there. Sea days we also had no problem getting a beautiful spot in the big, oversized couches with our books. Beautiful! The Eden lounge at the back of the ship was wonderful to watch the sunsets and the wake! The outdoor decs/bars at the back of the ship (I already forget the name) was also a go to! We did 6 specialty dining evenings, and they were all fantastic. Tough to choose a favourite, but we did the sushi twice! The animated French was very cool! Seriously, I couldn't complain about a single meal I had. Buffet breakfasts were typical of a cruise buffet. I'm not a buffet person, but it makes sense rushing out in the mornings. The staff work extremely hard and they're understaffed after Covid. They're all very friendly (with maybe ONE exception). It's frustrating to hear people complain at the level of service when these guys put in a crazy amount of hours. They must be exhausted putting a smile on their faces and working so hard. Yes, it their job. HOWEVER, it's not an easy one right now. The entertainment was good. I'm not one for dance shows but we did our duty and went to ONE. The entertainment that brought in was very good! Sabrina (a singer) and a very good comedian. I also went to the spa this time. First time ever. Treated myself to a massage. Pricey of course, but it was excellent and even ran a full 20 minutes longer. All in all, a FABULOUS vacation and I'd go again in a heart beat! Oh, and the APP on our phone...AMAZING idea. How did we live without that organization before! All our schedule and ship events right there! It was perfect!

Cabin Review

LOVED, LOVED this cabin. It was so spacious, well planned out and I had empty drawers! The bathroom was fabulous and I loved the "balcony". Don't understand the complaints on this style. I made a special effort to spend some time in there to get my money's worth! haha Last port day, I opted to stay on board and just relaxed in my room while they other went off. The desk/box/charger idea is amazing! My only complaint (and it's minor) is that our room was on the 8th level, (room 8309) back of the ship. Directly below there (with no obstacles) on level 5, there is what we discovered to be a STUNNING area, but I believe it's a smoking area. It took a few nights before most people discovered it and then it became a place to congregate. LATE. I LOVED having my balcony open, but was forced to close it due to the noise level. I could hear every word of one majorly annoying LOUD woman! That was frustrating. It's not a large area. In my opinion it should be off limits after 11 p.m. On our last night ofcourse we had an early morning disembarkation; they were out there partying until after 1!
