We had not sailed on Celebrity for two years and had the opportunity to try the Celebrity Infinity. We were very happy with our choice. Yes, the ship is an older ship, however it is well maintained and to me, did not really show her age. The crew members were very friendly and helpful. It started with the Captain, who was very visible, gave daily updates and this is the only cruise I can remember, and my wife and I have been on a lot, where the Captain was at the gangway as we exited, along with some senior staff, to wish us a good trip home and to come back! I really thought this was a wonderful gesture on his part. The food on board was very good. We did not eat in any specialty restaurants but did dine in the Ocean cafe (buffet) restaurant and the main dining room, (Trellis). We enjoyed all our meals, nice selections and lobster tail was even offered one night. My wife and I enjoy swimming and the main pool was large compared to other ships and we enjoyed early morning swims. The pool and exercise room were both open early, again, another perk compared to other ships we have been on. We also enjoy dancing and there were plenty of opportunities as there was music played early evenings, along with music to listen to throughout the day, this was really great. The Captain made the decision shortly after sailing to change to the eastern Caribbean, instead of the planned western Caribbean because of hurricane Ian, smart call. So we did not go to Cozumel and Belize city but instead, Nassau and Labadie Haiti were added, no problems for us. Overall, this was a wonderful cruise and would gladly sail on the Infinity again.
