We chose this cruise for the itinerary and hoping the weather in September would still be hot. Due to high winds in the Aegean, the ship sailed to the Ionian Sea, which was fine. The weather was spectacular, the ports we visited were great, we had a lot of fun. The problem with the ship and the crew was evident after a few days - the ship is starting to show its age and the captain said on the first day that the crew was there for our comfort. It turns out the crew is there for their comfort - maids and head steward walking into our cabin unannounced, food that was cooked hours before and was cold & tasteless, waiters at meals walking around with no idea how to serve and clean up. The guide with was great and the tours well planned and interesting but everything was done to overlook or ignore other shortcomings.

If you want to sail the Greek islands, find a newer ship with better crew.
